Hello, my name is Maria Forster
I'd like to welcome you to my website. I hope you like what you see.
I'm an award winning amateur photographer based in Dublin, Ireland. I love getting out with my camera, and capturing the beauty of the irish landscape. We are very lucky here in Ireland to have some of the finest landscape in the world, from the Wild Atlantic Way to Ireland's Ancient East.
I started my photography journey many years ago with a small disc camera... I think I was 14.
In time, I moved onto a minolta SLR. For a number of years I fell out of love with photography and used a small compact camera or my phone to record life events. However, after my little boy was born, I realised a year of my life was in tiny thumbnails on my phone, and a decision was made that would change the way I look at the world.
I invested in a Nikon d7100 and a 16-85mm Nikon DX lens.
Since then I have seen the pinks and purples of sunrise and sunset, that I neither saw or noticed previously. I discovered there is a golden hour... twice a day... I have looked out windows with glee as the thundering clouds roll in while spotting a fleeting glimpse of light before the downpour. Even damp, misty days have their own beauty.
In short, I saw the world clearly and it is indeed a place of beauty.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my small collection of images, as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Thank for stopping by.
Maria
